TECHNIQUE
Inspired by the undulations of a flag in the wind, the innovative Gommette screen brings a touch of conviviality to work spaces while preserving the privacy of its users. The two wavy Varian shapes rest on a metal support inspired by kimono stands. Of different heights and looks, these shapes combine and overlap to play on opacity and create interior landscapes.
The main feature of the screen is its two ecologically designed woven drapes made from linen, Varian®, manufactured by CultureIN. It combines technique and aesthetics for the eco-design, layout or decoration of living spaces.
1 – Structure
Black or gold tubular structure resting on a thin, flat base for perfect stability on the ground.
2 – Panel
The panels of the folding screen are made of Varian®, a material halfway between a composite and a textile composite and textile. It is entirely eco-responsible and VOC-free. It has been manufactured in an environmentally friendly way, without water or solvents.
3 – Weaving
Woven with a combination of linen and vegetable yarns, Varian® is a fabric that can be easily shaped thermoforming, hot folding and bending. The possibilities for cutting, assembling and finishing are identical to those of textiles.
The openwork material of the Varian creates an intimate space while allowing light to shine through in certain areas.
Varian is a composite fabric combining linen fibre and biosourced resin.
