TECHNIQUE

Designed for the tertiary sector, with sober and elegant shapes, ready to adapt to all environments. Inspired by the accuracy of Japanese creations, Matthieu Pauthe has named this compact sofa ‘Kim’, in homage to Japanese kimonos. The constructive principle of this piece of furniture is obvious and simple: a structuring wooden base, a fitted seat cushion and a protective back.

Going for the essential is the ambition of this collection, constantly seeking to combine comfort, function and optimisation. Kim is able to cohabit with all worlds, even the busiest. It blends discreetly, on the tip of its wooden feet, into all styles, and welcomes all visitors with distinction.

1 – Structure

The entire structure is available in wood. The base is available in walnut or bleached solid ash wood, to which a curved backrest is mechanically screwed in one piece in multi-ply wood.

2 – Seat and backrest

Made of high resistance Bultex foam attached to the wooden structure, the seat is 150 mm thick.

3 – Fabric

Ideally two-tone fabric. Stitching. As a reminder of the kimono on which the Kim was inspired, two side loops in contrasting fabric cover the top of the base.
